Flu shots are in and are now available at the Family Medical Centers of Seward, Milford and Utica. No appointment necessary. Walk-in Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at any of our three clinics to receive your flu shot or on Saturday at the Seward Family Medical Center from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Flu Vaccinations have been shown to prevent flu illnesses, doctor's visits and hospitalizations and can be life-saving in children. The Center for Disease Control (CDC), recommends yearly flu vaccination for people 6 month and older. The best defense against the flu is the influenza vaccination. Know the difference between cold or flu.

Cold Symptoms

  • Fever - Rare, Mild (less than 100)
  • Headache - Rare
  • General Aches and Pains - Slight
  • Onset - Gradual Over a Few Days
  • Stuffy Nose - Common
  • Runny Nose - Common
  • Sore Throat - Common
  • Cough - Mild to Moderate

Flu Symptoms

  • Fever - Almost Always High (greater than 100)
  • Headache - Common
  • General Aches and Pains - Usual/Often Severe
  • Onset - Rapid Onset
  • Stuffy Nose - Rare
  • Runny Nose - Common
  • Sore Throat - Sometimes
  • Cough - Common - Can be Severe (Dry)
