Providing health and wellness information to the communities we serve is a responsibility we take seriously.

Family and Friends

Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern and, in order to enhance the quality of care, visitors are asked to follow these guidelines:

All patients and visitors will be pre-screened for the risk of COVID-19 upon arrival. Screening includes questions related to symptoms and exposure to others who are sick. Screening may include taking their temperature and instruction on infection prevention procedures. This is not a medical test to diagnose COVID-19.

Effective Friday, April 16, 2021, Memorial Health Care Systems including all hospital services, clinics, pharmacy and assisted living will open visitation to patients/residents and support persons bringing patients to appointments.

Visiting hour for inpatients, swing-bed and assisted living resident are seven days a week: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Please Do Not visit patients in the hospital if you are sick or under quarantine for COVID-19.

Masks and Screening are Required

  • For the safety of all, we require everyone in our facility to wear a mask provided by MHCS. This includes visitors, patients, doctors and staff.
  • Support persons and patients will be screened upon each arrival for signs of illness by taking their temperature and are required to follow infection prevention procedures as instructed. If a visitor/support person fails the health screening, he/she will not be able to visit.
  • While visitors are visiting a patient, both the visitors and the patient must wear masks at all times.  

Patients with COVID-19

For the safety of families and our community, no support persons/visitors will be allowed to visit patients with a pending COVID-19 test or confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis. We understand this is very difficult for you. It is also difficult for us. This is necessary to limit exposure to families and community spread of the virus.

After-hours Visitation - For security purposes, Memorial Hospital secures its campus after 8:30 p.m. Access can be gained by entering the front lobby's vestibule and pressing the intercom for assistance.

Cell Phone Usage - Cell phone usage is allowed on all Hospital premises. To maintain a healing environment, please place your phone on vibrate when entering a patient zone.

Community Resources - Phonebooks and listings of area hotels, restaurants, pastors and churches are available at the Nurses' Station.

Gifts and Flowers - A gift cabinet is located in the Hospital's lobby. Admissions staff can help you purchase your selection. All proceeds from the gift sales go toward the efforts of the MHCS Auxiliary. Because many people are allergic to latex, we are a latex-safe environment. Please do not bring latex balloons, etc., onto the hospital campus.

Patient Services

Your Room - Each patient room within Memorial Hospital is private occupancy with the following features:

  • Private room with patient recliner, visitor's seating
  • Telephone for local calls
  • Individual room thermostat
  • Bedside remote control with nurse call button, door open/shut, lights on/off, TV on/off and channels, bed adjustment (move height of bed, head and feet)
  • Private restroom with shower, toilet, vanity, sink, hairdryer
  • Television with standard cable, DVD/VCR
  • Internet access

Meals - Memorial Hospital is committed to providing wholesome, nourishing meals to optimize health. Meals are delivered to patient rooms. Visitors wishing to eat with you in your room are welcome to order and pay for a guest tray through the Hospital's admissions desk.

Pastoral Care - The Nurses' Station can provide you with a listing of local churches. A consultation room is available for use by patients, family and clergy.

Vending - a vending area is located in the Hospital's lobby.

Visitors - Hospitalization is a time for rest and recovery. Please let your nurse know if you wish to limit visitors.
